ORANGE BARREL MEDIA

The rhythmic interplay of art and interiors is palpable within the Orange Barrel office space. Commercial in nature, this gut renovation in Manhattan’s Noho neighborhood has a nostalgic sense of old New York, inspired by loft architecture of the 1980s and 90s. Airy and industrial, the largely open-concept floor plan (roughly 3,500 square feet) serves as a subtle yet significant framework for the client’s extensive collection of art featuring works from Robin F. Williams, Anthony Olubunmi Akinbola, Hayley Barker, Alvaro Barrington, and countless others. A soothing palette of neutral materials from off-white paint with black metal trim to teak wood, marble and stainless steel counterbalance the prolific presence of the artworks, allowing visitors to feel both a sense of comfort and discovery while in the space.
